Ideas of May 8

I’m messing around with the idea of my next film. I’m thinking of  a medium-length film and am eager to start breaking down the scenes and working more on the structure I have now.As soon as I can. I’m looking for different locations in Montreal. Today I was thinking of shooting the whole story with non-actors who play the role of the characters in my animated film. Then I will develop my story based on those footages .Though I won’t use those footages directly in the film. It’s just to help me make a better, more cinematic structure that I often don’t find in animated films. It’s also much easier to see the whole as it is in it’s realistic way and then try to eliminate the unnecessary elements. I imagine this method will help me to achieve a better, deeper understanding of the characters and the space in my film.

Étude

 Working on the scenario and pre-pre production of a long metrage animation, I'm studying movies that deal with the element of city in the development of the film. I try to do some sketches of the film. the first film I'm having fun with is Wings of Desire by Wim Wenders.

Yet not sure about the title !  but this film is at the end. I need to find a bit more money to pay for the studios!! I'm impatient to finish the final editing , going to the studio for the voice recording and then the music... .

Working on this film made me think seriously about moving my studio outside of my living space. I can no more live and work like a frog on a lake!!!

Paper Montréal- Take1

I’m looking for a way to visualize Montréal in the simplest way. Looking at old photos of Montréal helps me in some way to minimize the elements. Everything used to be more unified and more organized. I notice some urban elements of the city in those photos that are still present in the city but hidden among all the details and visual distractions. This is a project of exploration. I’m spotting different locations and different approaches, until I come up with the best Montréal for my film.

Situation: Khosro and Shirin are two beloved ones. They both live among the pages of an old precious book, illustrated by a great master.

Question No.1 : Shirin decides to leave the book. Will Khosro abandons his page to join him?

I'm working on the idea of a film. I'm looking at the old miniature paintings of Iran and India. I can't find so many moments of a normal daily life in those paintings (except some of Bihzad's masterpieces). How were people living those days outside of the king's palace? Was the life all about the beauty of the majesty and the love stories of the Royal family?
